1 Jan 2007 Sinbad's son Floyd (Elanjeni pink Floyd) born to Jilha (Elanjeni Just Freckle) is now appearing in the showring.
Congratulations to Linda and Daryl Friedland of Elangeni for Floyd's recent wins in the ring.
At 5 months of age Floyd looks like a well ballanced dog of excellent structure. Muzzle length and depth are good and apropriately blunt. Great depth and steepness of stop. Scull is flat and well proportioned earset and length are good. Eyecolour is excellent. Good length of neck. Shoulder is good and layed back (So pleasing to see as lost to many dogs) Chest is deep and full sternum. Good ribbing and loin is strong. Backline is good. Stifle is not overangulated or too straight. Floyd's natural stance is hocks back and comfortably ballanced. Floyd has a playfull confident personallity and moves well when he isn't just jumping around having fun.

31 Dec 2006 Titan was Best of Breed, Marina was Challenge Bitch at RNSWCC New Years Eve Show Erskine Park.

27th Dec 2006 Sinbad's mating with "Darbee" (Aust Champion Elangeni Just Darbee) has produced 12 puppies, 7 Girls and 5 Boys born on 27th December all with good ridges! The litter is very even in size and apperance. There were 13 puppies born but one was still born and not possible to revive. Pictures will be posted as soon as possible.

23 Dec 2006 Our Ridgeback Camp wins 2nd Prize for "Best Decorated Cabana" at the Xmas Show Erskine Park 2006. Kirsten's Hubert the Fox Hound had his birthday and we had a special celerbration for him including a dog friendly cheese cake. The Cabana was decorated with lots of streamers and tinsel and christmas bells etc. Flashing coloured lights surrounded the dual Cabanas and a flashing Star featered in the centre. lots of food and drink was consumed at what turned out to be an 'Eat Fest' of grand proportions. We ended up staying the night ringside on stretcher beds and blow up matreses and watched Superman Returns on the big screen. As we were all exhausted we finally retired at 4:00AM and slept in not leaving the grounds till 3:30 PM the folloowing day.

3rd September 2006 Arial Wins her first Baby Sweepstakes place (Second) at Dalwood Pedigree show

The stack that won second place in baby sweepstakes First place was a gundog, Third was a Basenji	Arial has straight forward feet with foes arched up and good chest with good post sternum. Head planes are good.
She has good forward reach and rear drive and exceptionally true movement specially for a baby puppy of only 3.5 months age	Arial has a proud inquisitive natural balanced stance. Often looking stacked when just biding time.

18 Aug 2006 Marina's XRay today confirmed at least 9 puppies inside but may be up to 12... The Xrays were not as clear as usual because she has a very large amount of fluid in her uterus that fogs the Xray (Fluid is good). marina is due to whelp this coming Friday 25th Aug

8 July 2006 Our new puppy "Arial" (Chilolo SH Arial Rain) arrived today by plane from Brisbane.

Arial was bred by Rosemary Green of Chilolo Ridgebacks near Towoomba QLD. Her mother is Sorrento and her Farther is Hercules, she arrived by plane from Brisbane this morning. John picked her up from the Sydney airport while I showed Sinbad, Marina & Titan at the Penrith Kennel Club show at Erskine Park .

Although Arial is only 9.5 weeks old she arrived totally alert and ready for fun. She showed no sign of anxiety or sickness from the plane trip or the long car trip back to Erskine Park or to HodariRafiki in Blaxland. Arial was happy wagging her tail and loved meeting and licking, hugging, kissing everyone and was a hit with all who saw her.

Arial seemed to take to the lead automatically even though she had never been on one (I have never seen a puppy do this before). She seemed willing to follow us around on the lead wherever we wanted to go and if she tended to wonder off was quite willing to allow us to redirect her with a slight pull on the lead.

Arial is totally inquisitive and has a very outgoing personality and not the slightest sign of timidity. She is very well structured and tends to Gait from place to place rather than the bunny hop that is more typical of puppies of this age. I'm sure she will be an instant hit in the show ring all she has to do is to get the Judges to love her as much as we do. Arial's Homepage See her homepage for all the pictures

Marina (Aust Ch HodariRafiki Aus Pride) has been mated with Dudley (Aust Ch Zimbalooba Boom Man)

After a hectic time traveling and participating in the 8th Australian National Rhodesian Ridgeback Specialty Show QLD and hoping that Marina's season timing would coincide (it did not), we followed Dudley back down to his home in Victoria to mate Marina with him. Marina went through 15ng/ml progesterone level on Wed morning 21st June and was mated on Friday 23rd, Sat 24th and Sun 25th June. Marina and Dudley liked each other very much and ere a lovely picture running together. Marina and Dudley were very willing participants so the whole thing was very stress free.

If the pregnancy goes as normal then we should have some very nice puppies indeed born about 27th August 2006.

8th Australian Specialty Results 17/18 June 2006

Marina was in Top 3 for Best Gated Bitch and Short-listed for Best Australian Bred Bitch.

Titan won 2nd place Open Dog and Best Ridged Dog Titan had won Best Ridged Dog at the Easter Specialty this year and Sinbad won Best Ridged dog at the October specialty last year. This gives us 3 Best Ridge wins back to back in Best Ridged dog category. Titan was run against Brock (Julie Francis dog) for Reserve Challenge dog. Congratulations to Brock for his Reserve challenge dog win.

March 2006 Nala (Litter sister to Titan Sinbad and Marina) returned to us as her owners had a career change and were not able to keep her. 26 Mar 2006 Marina Won Best of Breed (25 Points) at Liverpool Kennel Club Show (Erskine Park) against a large field of 33 Ridgebacks. This has been our largest Best of Breed point score so far. Normally it takes a Group Win to achieve 25 points.

We have had a dream run between Marina, Sinbad, and Titan we have had Best of Breed 10 out of the last 12 shows and Runner up as well in 9 of them.

12 Mar 2006 Sinbad wins Best of Breed, Best in Group, Intermediate in Group & Intermediate in Show. Marina won Runner up Best in Breed at Blacktown Kennel Club Show. It was a shockingly hot weekend with temperatures reaching 38 degrees. Competition was strong with 24 ridgebacks entered - 20 attended.

Congratulations Sue and Eric Temlett for winning Best Head with Monty at the NSW Ridgeback Specialty show - Monty is Sandy and Danny's Father and Grandfather to Sinbad, Titan and Marina. Monty also won Best head at the Australian National Rhodesian Ridgeback Specialty show 2004. Several of Sue's Bitches have one 'Best headed bitch' over the years, one multiple times. Sandy has also won 'Best headed Bitch' at the NSW Ridgeback Specialty show 2002. It is pleasing to see such depth in our foundation bloodline regarding head type and structure.

Movie Night -- Tuesday 23 Aug 2005 - Condobolin. The Ridgeback Boy's presented a new 'Tradition' at the Circuit this year at the center of park fireplace. The evening started with screening of a John Farnham concert followed by the a movie which was held a secret till the night. The audience found it rather Bewitching. The concert & film were screened in Awesome CondoVision and Glorious CabanaScope. Lots of fun was had by all and 30-40 people attended. Due to public request another film night is planned for 26 Aug
