Marina (HodariRafiki Aus Pride) was mated with Dudley (Zimbalooba Boom Man)

After a hectic time traveling and participating in the 8th Australian National Rhodesian Ridgeback specialty show in QLD and hoping that Marina's season timing would coincide (it did not) we followed Dudley back down to his home in Victoria to mate Marina with him. Marian went through 15ng/ml progesterone level on Wed morning 21st June and was mated on Friday 23rd, Sat 24th and Sun 25th June. Marina and Dudley liked each other very much and were a lovely picture running together. Marina and Dudley were very willing participants so the whole thing was very stress free.

If the pregnancy goes as normal then we should have some very nice puppies indeed born about 27th August 2006.

Both Marina and Dudley are dogs of exceptional quality. Both have achieved at State and National specialty shows as well as many distinctions at All Breeds Championship Shows.

Marina had her puppies Thursday Evening 24th August 2006. 9 puppies were born live 1 still born. Only 2 puppies (Boys) had ridges. The two boys look excellent at this stage. Their ridges are full length and no offset in the crowns on one. The other we cant tell for sure about offset in crowns as the ridge is still fuzzy. There is a reasonable possibility that one or both of the boys may develop into show quality puppies.

The black through his coat is common and this amount will clear leaving him as a dark red dog
He has a very attractive face with defined "stop", full of expression, with very correct dark eyes & nice parallel head planes.
He has a long ridge reaching from his shoulder to his hip or slightly past it.
This boy will probably turn out like a mix between Sinbad and Danny
