Sandy today... Sandy has developed into a beautiful female adult Ridgeback. When Sandy wants a hug she taps you on the leg with her paw until you kneel down then she puts her paws on your shoulder and pushes back so she can look you in the face. Then she moves forward to hug. Then she pushes back again to look you in the eye. She is so cute and loving. Sandy always has a favorite soft toy called 'Dolly' and she takes it to bed with her every night. If we are later than usual going to bed she suddenly picks it up and goes of by herself and puts herself to bed hugging her 'Dolly'. Sandy has the ideal temperament for a Ridgeback. Gentle, caring, feminine yet strong. She is protective but not aggressive. Sandy was 2 years of age when she whelped her first litter and she was a great mother right from the start. |
Sandy won Best Headed Bitch at the 2002 NSW Ridgeback Specialty Show. On the trophy shield can be found the names of Sandy, her mother and grandmother as winners of 'Best Head' . Good Head is a trait of Sandy's bloodline. Sandy certainly has inherited the head and she exhibits an excellent easy working smooth flowing movement as well. Sandy's father Monty won "Best Headed" dog at the 2004 Australian Ridgeback Specialty show and Best headed Dog at the , further confirming the great heads that are typical of this bloodline. Further evidence of the depth of quality in the bloodline is that Sandy & Her Puppies Sinbad & Marina were all short listed in the top 5 dogs for 'Best Head' at the 2005 NSW Ridgeback Specialty show. Sandy has performed consistently well in the Show Ring & four of her puppies have also performed well. Lola (HodariRafiki Goldie) was Best Ridgeback Bitch at the Launceston and Hobart Royals in 2004. Marina (Aus Ch. HodariRafiki Aus Pride) is a multiple Best In Group winner and an Australian Champion well on the way to grand Champion. Titan (HodariRafiki Titan) is an Australian Australian Champion, Sinbad (HodariRafiki Sinbad) is also a multiple Best in Group and Class in Show winner and an Australian Champion also well on the way to Grand Champion. |

Sandy wins Challenge Bitch 2 years running at Spring Fair... Sandy won 'Challenge Bitch' and runner up 'Best in Breed' at the 2003 Spring Fair Weekend - Erskine Park. She won the same in 2004 and was Best Open Bitch & Reserve Challenge Bitch in 2005
