These pictures were taken by Wojciech who is Bodzio's new owner on their first visit to see the puppies.

Bodzios new owners came and visited us to have a look at their new puppy Bodzio. They had a long 6 hour trip down from Tamworth and were very excited about the prospect of providing a fun and loving home for our little number 1 which they decided to name Bodzio after a famous, handsome Polish actor from the 1930's. Looking up the name Bodzio on the internet also seems to indicate the meaning "Gift" or perhaps "God given Gift".

Wojciech speaking here... "We'd like to update you on Bodzio's progres. The trip back home was fine.Bodzio played a lot ,and also slept a lot. After 2 hours on the road we stopped for a break. Bodzio had some water to drink,but didn't have the urge to wee. When we arrived back home,Bodzio was very keen to inspect his new surroundings. Half an hour after he ate, he ended up relieving himself on the newspaper provided for him. He was very playful and excited after dinner,for a long time. Bodzio eventually got tired and fell asleep on the bottom of a computer desk. He slept soundly on his bed with his toys. He woke up at 3:30am, but after he was patted and comforted he went back to sleep till 7:00am. He had a hungry appetite for breakfast and fell asleep on my lap. Bodzio has adapted to his new surrounding very well. He seems confident and unafraid of his new home."

Bodzio at 11 Weeks of age.

Bodzio is now 11 weeks old. He is fit and strong and growing up quickly. He is anxious and keen to adapt and learn about the behaviour that is required of him. We encourage him and reward him with beef  liver treats. He enjoys playing in the garden and enjoys playing with our cat, who has mutual feeling about the situation. Bodzio barks at the cat to invite him to play. Bodzio reacts well to his name and runs over when called. He has no problem wearing a collar and also a lead. He treats the lead as a play string. We have taught Bodzio the command  "sit" and he respond well to it. He is full of energy and always has time to play around.

Bodzio at 16 Weeks of age.

We had an email from Bodzio owners at 16 weeks of age:

Bodzio had the third vaccination today. The vet was impressed with his health, weight, coat and behavior.

Bodzio's weight - 21.0 kg

Bodzio is;

• Friendly with the people
• Loves to play in the garden and snuggling on the couch
• Likes to keep himself occupied playing with toys
• Loves a good game of fetch
• Loves to play with Fluffy (our cat) although the cat don't necessarily want to play with him
• Chews everyting in sight
• Likes working on his leash walking
• He is cute, cudlly and cheeky

Bodzio is a happy and playful boy who loves people and will give soppy kisses if you get close enough. He has an adorable cuteness that nobody can resist.

Bodzi at 14 Months of age.

We visited Bodzio and hios family in Tamworth NSW on 11th Apriil 2005. We had a nice visit and Bodzio was able to meet up with his Brothers Titan, and Sinbad and his Sister Marina.

Bodzio looked terrific and seems to be a typical happy Ridgeback.

Bodzio has inherrited a strong head simmilar to his uncle Danny on his mothers side and his great uncle Monty on his mothers side. Bodzio had better length of muzzle however.

Bodzio has good turn of stifle and croup and angle of front shoulder. He is good in size being taller than Sinbad but shorter than Titan. Just right height wise in fact. Heavier in bone than Sinbad and lighter in bone than Titan... according to the standard he is perhaps more correct than either Sinbad and Titan. Bodzio has a slight offset of his Crowns which although not ideal Bodzio would have made a successful show dog indeed. In particular The English judges would like his strong broad head.

Marina had a run around the yard with Bodzio (Behind). They got on really well.
